Our Signature 5-Step Launch Process

 

STEP 01 / PLANNING

First, you'll complete your business plan, using our easy-to-fill out business plan template made specifically for emerging fashion brands.

 

Then, using our Selling Strategy Guide, you will determine your preliminary selling strategy. Once we get a production quote back, we will finalize your selling strategy.

You can also opt to purchase our Fashion Attorney Resource Guide, which can help you to secure a fashion attorney.

STEP 02 / BRANDING

Next, you'll identify your target market, craft a comprehensive branding strategy, including your Unique Selling Proposition (USP), Brand Positioning Statement (BPS), Brand Mantra, brand narrative, tagline, and every single branding component necessary to create a solid brand identity (including website copy). Our founder will review your answers and help you pt the finishing touch on them.

Then, our in-house Brand Stylist will work with you to design your brand with a primary logo, secondary logo, mark, brand pattern, branded social media graphics for posts, and our founder and CEO will design your e-commerce website. You can also opt for the Starter Package, if you don't wish to have a logo and website designed for you. 

STEP 03 / PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

From there, we'll work together to place your design concepts  using our remote white board tool and make sure they are cohesively merchandised. You can also work with us to create your designs from the ground up. Ou founder will then source your fabrics, using our Insider Guide, you will source your trim, we'll give you costing training and you'll cost your line or get it costed for you, and you will work alongside our Director of Technical Design to get your tech packs (the blueprint for how your garments are constructed) made, approved, and completed.

STEP 04 / SAMPLE DEVELOPMENT & PRODUCTION

We will work alongside you to place your line with a U.S. based apparel manufacturer, who will make both your samples and produce your bulk order.

 

Then we will hand off your tech packs to your factory and manage the sample development process for you, including the coordination of your remote fit sessions, until final approval.

 

Lastly, we'll place your production order, walk you through the grading process, and manage the entire production process for you, including all the complex details until completed.

STEP 05 / SALES, PROMOTION, AND MARKETING

In our final launch step, we will work with you to develop your wholesale and dropshipping business through our online wholesale marketplace (if wholesale is a part of your selling strategy), help you land press with our Media Leads service, assign you an account manager who will work alongside you to grow your Instagram account, design your lookbook, help you get Fashion Week show placement, and much more.

Do I need to have prior fashion design experience in order to launch my apparel collection?


Absolutely not! In fact, none of our clients to date have had any prior fashion design experience or have a fashion background of any sort. We bring our fashion industry expertise to you and guide you every step of the way, so no experience is needed!




Will I be required to travel during the launch process?


No. Using our advanced technologies, you can launch your apparel brand from the comfort of your home. If you would like to arrange to meet with our founder and CEO in person, a consulting fee will apply. If you prefer to visit the factory during the sample development or production process, we can arrange that for you and in most cases, it can be accommodated for no extra fee.




Can I launch any type of apparel collection with you?


Yes! We can launch your womenswear, menswear, teen, childrenswear, layette (baby), mommy and me, and daddy and me apparel lines within every product category. We also can launch women's scarf and men's pocket square and tie accessory lines.




Is Launch Your Collection a factory?


No, we are an apparel launch consultancy. We offer a variety of services to help you develop, launch, and grow your apparel brand, including brand strategy, brand and logo design, website design, tech pack development, fabric sourcing, costing, factory placement, sample development and production management, and a variety of growth services. We partner with trusted U.S. based factories who are emerging fashion brand friendly for all of your sample development and production needs (both small-batch and large scale production) to place you with the best factory for your specific product category and then manage the entire sample development and production process for you.




Do you offer logo and website packages?


As a branding agency, as well as an apparel launch consultancy, we offer a full suite of branding services that will help set the foundation of your brand before you even begin the design step. We also offer social media graphic design, business card design, customized email signature, and editable branded Instagram post templates. See our brand design package here.




Do I really need a business plan?


Yes. Every business start-up should invest in a business plan. We provide an economically priced business plan questionnaire style template that walks you through the process of creating a business plan, with each section of the plan already in place, along with instructions for how to fill out each section, making creating a business plan fun and easy, for the reasonable price of $97. Do you work with international clients?


Yes we do. We have worked with clients who are internationally based, but please keep in mind that we only work with U.S. based vendors and sample makers, so you will incur international FedEx charges in order to review fabric swatches and samples and to receive your finalized production order.




Do you work with factories that are overseas or only those that are based in the United States?


We work exclusively with fabric vendors, trim suppliers, sample makers, factories, and all other resources that are based in the United States. While some of your fabrics may be imported by the U.S. based fabric vendor, you will have a MADE IN THE USA label since we only work with U.S. based factories. We have trusted relationships with U.S. based apparel manufacturers who are emerging apparel brand friendly and offer lower minimums, while still being affordable. The other benefit of working with U.S. based factories is that you avoid the time delay of communication, shipping, as well as the extra costs for customs, tariffs, and import taxes.




Do I need to know how to sketch or illustrate in order to launch a clothing line?


No, you do not need to be able to sketch or illustrate in order to launch your clothing line. For your design concepts, you will usually draw out a rough pencil sketch of each of your styles and then add inspirational images that help you to present your vision for each of your designs.




I need help designing my apparel collection. Does Launch Your Collection help with that step?


Yes! We offer fashion design services in which both our founder and CEO and our Director of Technical Design will work one-on-one with you to craft your designs in order to form a cohesive and saleable apparel collection.
